I appreciate how Suzanne Giesemann is so enthusiastic about being a medium, I can tell she really loves her work. I find that so appealing when someone radiates that sort of enthusiasm for something. Suzanne also is an excellent speaker. I love how she says we are here to shine our light, what a great way to think about things. I also like how she talks about how we are all connected and about our internal guidance system. I agree with her that expressing gratitude is a good idea, and that there is always something to be grateful for we can focus on. I also like what she says about present moment awareness.

That is so sad how her step-daughter died. It seems like sometimes a traumatic event like that awakens people to spiritual abilities. I remember some of the other guests Lisa has had on her podcast also discovered their abilities through losing a loved-one.

It is fascinating how Suzanne is a former US Navy Commander who was in the air when the 911 attacks happened. That event had such an impact on all Americans, even those of us who do not have any connection to New York at all. I think it opened people up to understand the US was vulnerable in a way people didn’t realize before. Many people start thinking about the big questions of life and death when such a tragic event happens. People begin to realize life is short and sometimes reevaluate their own lives to see if they are really doing what they want to. Everyone knows life is short, but for some people it doesn’t truly register in their own minds unless something reminds them of it.

I love how Lisa says at the end of the podcast we should follow our joy and that she is cheering people on, that is really inspiriting.
