Celestial beings reside in the non-physical realm. Your Higher Self resides there as well. It is the highest aspect of your consciousness. You are one with your Higher Self and you are always connected. It is who you truly are, without any masks.

You don’t have this most intimate connection with other celestial beings. They are not you, but they are there to provide guidance and protection along your life path.

You have selected your life plan before this incarnation, including what you want to experience and learn in this world. Your Higher Self has access to this information and by reconnecting with it, you can have it too. When your life plan or contract was set, your Higher Self selected spirit guides whose job is to make sure you stay on the right track. Besides spirit guides and your Higher Self, the ether is home to guardian angels and archangels as well. As you can consciously reconnect with your Higher Self, you can also detect and connect with these powerful beings.

Mediation is a great way to start communicating with your Higher Self. An altar can serve as a focal point for meditation. Once you’ve tuned in to your Higher Self, you’ll be able to get key information about why you’re here and where you should be going next. Sometimes your Higher Self can sound like intuition, sometimes as a voice of reason. The more you open yourself to it, the more you will be in tune with your Higher Self.
Here’s what you should know about these Light beings:

Higher Self

The Higher Self resides in the ether, the non-physical realm. Your Higher Self is you, but without the veil across your memory. It represents your total soul consciousness, the highest aspect of you. You, here on Earth, are a projection of your Higher Self’s consciousness. When you were born, you forgot where you came from, as incarnation causes oblivion.

There is an unbreakable connection between you and your Higher Self even though you are not aware of it. After incarnation, you are left with an ethereal connection with your Higher Self. As the total soul consciousness, your Higher Self knows everything about you including your past, present, and future because you have chosen the life you are living. It knows your life plan. By consciously reconnecting with your Higher Self, you can rediscover your purpose and live a happier, more meaningful life.

Spirit Guides

your ultimate spiritual guide
Before you were born, you created your entire life plan. Your Higher Self has this knowledge even though you have forgotten all about it. When the plan was built, your Higher Self chose spirit guides to assist you in this world.

These spirit guides have knowledge and experience in handling the exact situations you have chosen to encounter while incarnated. You can have more than one spirit guide. Some will be there for you your entire life, others from time to time. Some will guide you through certain events and leave you afterward, when their work is done. They are basically following the directives your Higher Self has set and their mission is to nudge you in the right direction, making sure you experience what you have already chosen.

Guardian Angels

Unlike spirit guides that can be incarnated, guardian angels do not incarnate. They are not in the same category as spirit guides. Angels protect everyone. We all have more than one guardian angel watching out for us. There are enough guardian angels for everyone, as there are thousands upon thousands of them. They tend to intervene when you are in a dangerous situation or in need of some serious help. They are there for you during rough times to offer support, comfort, and protection. Meditation is a great technique that can help you detect guardian angels.

Archangels are at the highest level in the celestial hierarchy. They are extremely powerful beings and closest to the Source. These extraordinary celestial beings are omnipresent, meaning they are present everywhere at the same time. They can be bound to more than one person at a time. Archangels are messengers and protectors. Most people are familiar with Gabriel, Michael, Raphael, and Uriel. Each archangel has a particular dominant area or specialty. As they are present in every major religious system, instead of focusing on their names or physical descriptions, focus on their specialties. That is what matters the most.

An altar is a place that can help you anchor your attention. It represents the intersection between the non-physical realm and Earth. It serves as a place that can help you center your awareness and consciously reconnect with your Higher Self and other celestial beings.
You can create a personal altar in your home. Regardless of your religious beliefs, a personal altar will reflect your spirituality and provide a place for quiet reflection and devotion. The altar you have set up in your home can serve as a focal point for meditation. There is no right or wrong way to set up an altar, just follow your intuition.

The first thing you have to do is to find a space to set up your altar. It should be in an area that is quiet and peaceful, where you know you can sit without disruption. All you need is a flat place, table or shelf. The next thing to do is to place a cloth over it. The cloth should reflect your personality, beliefs, and intention. Use the one you feel the most comfortable with. It should be large enough to cover the entire altar. You should clean and cleanse this area as often as possible.

Keep in mind that an altar is supposed to please you, not anybody else. You don’t have to think about how it looks like. Follow your intuition and place the things you feel need to be there. Arrange it the way you like and place everything with intention. These things represent what is sacred to you. You can have items that represent the four elements, including earth, wind, fire, and water. You should also have something that represents your source, something that will help you still your thoughts and open your heart for not just your intuition but also for your Higher Self.

The scary part

I was told today to do some card readings.

It’s always fun to see what the guides are telling us.

The first card is Beauty.

The action card is Focus

This reminds me of the messages I downloaded the past few days (in case you missed them you can watch the first one here, the second one here and the third one here.)

It’s really about how you create your own life, you have to get focused!

And then …

You’re going to have an Awakening!

What most likely happens is … (watch the card reading here)

You have to have Faith!

The guides are always looking out for you, too!

Love and Blessings,

Have no fear, death is not as bad as it sounds …

I’m a little nervous today …

My Spirit guides told me they wanted me to talk about embracing death and making it fun.

I know, this is kind of out there for a lot of people …

Death is an adventure. It is just a transformation from the physical to the non-physical.

We need to get rid of all darkness and fear around death … it’s about celebrating the person’s life and remembering when they were here in the physical.

You’ve got to go through grief.

Losing the physical being of someone on this planet is the most difficult thing you can go through.

You don’t have to let it make you stop living YOUR life .

You’re still here.

You’ll see. You’ll look back at your own life and think

“Why didn’t I just get on with it already?”

Part of the problem with grief is that you can get stuck in it, you stop living your life because of the sadness, fear and anxiety.

Know that you can still connect with them even though they’ve passed on.

That’s what I help people do all the time.

I teach them to connect and how you can keep a relationship going with your passed away loved ones.

You’re only here for a short time, you don’t have to let it make you stop living YOUR life .

Love and Blessings,

Take a look at this …

What a wonderful life it is to live when you have it Spiritually Infused!

What do I mean by “Spiritually Infused“?

When you are connecting with Spirit (God, The Universe, Source, whoever it is who YOU worship) and really allowing that energy to boost whatever it is that you’re doing during the day.

It’s so much fun to be able to talk to Spirit and get SPECIFIC information …

It can truly change your life!

Some of the things that I use to support me in my Spiritually Infused Life are: Crystals, Essential Oils and Spiritual Books. (Click here for more information about the Essential Oils that are ESSENTIAL in my life)

If you have any questions about how to go deeper with your connection to Spirit I’d be happy to answer them!

Love and Blessings,

What are you doing
for YOU today?

Remember to take time for self care.

I love taking a bath with a quarter cup of sea salt and a quarter cup of baking
soda – it really clears away the cords of attachments that we pick up whenever we interact with others.

What do you love to do for self care?

I’m trying to remain steady and at ease

Today, I decided to sit outside and meditate.

I came outside, got my music on and set my timer for 12 minutes.

You’d think 12 minutes would be easy enough to do, right?

I’m trying to remain steady and at ease …

Meditation IS really difficult when there’s a lot going on.

I totally understand that meditation is difficult, especially when you’re going through difficult times.

And yet, that is when we need it the most!

Do the best you can and persevere …

I, ultimately, had to stop after 8 minutes. (Click here to see why today’s attempt was so challenging)

At least I got a few minutes to let go and think about the wonderful things in my life.

Love and Blessings,

Making The Same Mistakes

There’s that old saying about taking the same actions over and over, but expecting different results. While that expression is generally used as a “definition for insanity,” I think we can look at the same issue in terms of happiness – and find just as many problems.

Think about people who really struggle to find happiness. One of the defining characteristics in a life of stress, anxiety, and unhappiness is repeat behavior – and consistently unpleasant results.

People allow themselves to stay in toxic relationships or work jobs that wear them down day after day. They spend time with people who damage their self-esteem, make consistently poor choices when it comes to food and exercise, and take on responsibilities that cause undue stress without any sort of satisfaction.

All of those behaviors are just like the “definition of insanity” mentioned above – it’s maintaining a cycle of behavior, but somehow expecting the outcome to change for the better.

Of course people want to be happy, but when their decisions and actions consistently prevent some of the basic needs for happiness – what do they expect?

Does this sound familiar? We’ve all got bad habits that can act as roadblocks to our happiness, and it’s up to use to identify them, figure out ways to change them, and move well past the barriers we set up for ourselves.

Small changes can often bring us closer and closer to a life of happiness and fulfillment, but those changes have to stick! We can’t keep making the same mistakes over and over again – otherwise we’ll never make any progress at all!

Instead of just going through the same motions day after day, we should all be looking for the decisions and actions that are responsible for our feelings of unhappiness. After all, basically everything we do is a choice – from the people we spend time with to what we do at any given moment throughout the day. We’re constantly making choices, so why keep making the decisions that ultimately lead to unhappiness?

We can break out of these cycles, and we absolutely should do everything in our power to get away from damaging decision making. Making consistently dissatisfying choices is a fast track to unhappiness – and the very definition of “insanity!”

Don’t Dwell On The Past

Two of the biggest roadblocks to happiness share a source. For some, it’s regret. For others, it’s obsessing about the “good ol’ days” – the way things once were.

For both groups of people, though, a focus on the past is preventing them from being happy in the present. It doesn’t matter if those memories of the past are positive (good ol’ days) or negative (regret), they both create an unrealistic and unhealthy approach the present – and the future.

If you’re stuck on the past because of something you regret, you’re walking around with your own personal raincloud. It will prevent you from seeing your own self worth, or even accepting that you’ve grown and changed – and may not even be the same person who behaved so regrettably.

Now, you shouldn’t forget your past entirely, especially if you harbor some guilt over something you once did. You should, however, accept the fact that what’s done is done. You can do your best to make amends for your mistakes, to right whatever wrongs you may have caused, but after accepting responsibility and making an effort to put things right, there isn’t anything else you can do!

It’s good to remember your mistakes in order to learn from them, but they don’t have to define who you are, or how you assume others think of you.

Looking to the past with too much fondness and nostalgia can be equally poisonous, though. When you think your best is behind you, you stop having something to look forward to. If you think your life has already “peaked,” how do you find joy in the present?

This mentality actually minimizes the happiness people experience because, no matter what happens, it always seems less significant than the “glory days.”

Remembering past accomplishments with fondness can be helpful – it can fill you with confidence, and help you make use of the lessons you learned along the way – but if it’s getting in the way of your ability to experience happiness in the moment, it’s a serious problem.

Instead of looking to the past, whether that past is full of sunshine or shadow, accept that it’s done and over with. It will always be a part of your life, but what happened yesterday can only affect today so much. That’s the thing about the past – there’s no changing it, and no getting it back.

You do control the present though, and it’s up to you to find your own happiness in the here and now!

Everyone Has Stress

If we had to pinpoint the source of unhappiness, stress (in all its forms) would be a likely culprit. It comes from every possible angle, from work responsibility to romantic relationships, things beyond our control like weather and equipment malfunctions to anxieties and problems that are entirely self-generated. Stress is everywhere – it just comes in many, many forms.

Not only are there many types of stress, it also affects different people in different ways. Some people thrive on it, others buckle – and everything in between. It’s something we can relate to in others, but never quite fully understand because we all experience stress differently – and get stressed out by different things.

Stress doesn’t really go away with career success, money, family, healthy relationships, or any of the other stuff we seek out to build our happiness. It may change forms, but it will never truly go away.

Poverty is stressful, so is managing a massive and lucrative investment account. Loneliness can cause stress, so can navigating social circles or large families. Jobs of all kinds, mundane activities, huge existential questions, anxiety about the unknown, fear, physical injuries, illness – these are potentially stress inducing experiences that just about everyone has to face. There’s no getting around them.

So if there’s no escaping stress, what are we supposed to do?

The short answer: learn to deal with it.

Just as we all experience stress in different ways, and from sources unique to our own lives, we have to develop our own ways of coping with it. The most important thing to understand about this need to create your own path to stress relief is this: there are healthy ways and unhealthy ways to deal with stress, and you have to know the difference.

Turning to drugs, alcohol, binge eating, self-harm, lashing out at others, and other destructive behaviors are certainly the unhealthy route, and should be avoided – no matter how much better they may make you feel. Any relief gained in this way will be temporary, and likely lead to even more stresses in the future.

On the other side of the coin, there are plenty of healthy ways to relieve stress like yoga, meditation, exercise, music, a walk in nature, and a host of other nondestructive activities.

The point is to recognize that stress is just a part of life. You can develop your own ways of coping, and when the stressors start to pile up, you’ll have a way to handle it in a way that you know works for you.

I’d love to hear what you do to relieve stress. Leave me a comment below.

So many of us think that happiness comes from accomplishments, monetary success, a star-studded career – all products of hard work and the climbing of various social ladders – and while these things can be fulfilling, they might be taking us away from other important components of happy life, namely our friends and families.

Studies show that personal relationships really do have some of the largest impact on overall happiness, as well longevity. Not spending enough time with loved ones was one of the most common regrets listed by people on their deathbeds, according to The Top Five Regrets of Dying by Bronnie Ware.

Compared to social status, wealth, and career achievements, having strong relationships with close friends and family has much, much larger impact on overall happiness. Harvard Psychology Professor Dan Gilbert says, “We are happy when he have family, we are happy when we have friends, and almost all the other things we think make us happy are actually just ways of getting more family and friends.”

This is a pretty stark reminder that maybe all of the attention we give to career goals and other “paths to happiness” are less important than we think, and we should be taking the time out of our busy lives to stay connected to the people that matter most.
